Austria’s daily newspaper “Österreich” reports in its May 3, 2013 issue that Austria’s football star  David Alaba feels very much  honored to be a part of FC Bayern. The team won the last game against FC Barcelona, the best team in the world so far. FC Bayern and  Dortmund will meet for the Champions League finals on May 25 in Wembley Arena in London.

Alaba prepared the sensational 1-0
Alabama had commanded a world-class performance, prepared with a perfect pass over 65 yards to seal the opening goal of Munich. Robben got the ball and made the sensational goal.

Alaba’s market value  is now around 25 million euros. He has still  contract with FC Bayern until 2015. His annual salary will be increased retroactively, from 1.5 million to about five million euros.

The Champions League is a dream come  true for the  20-year-old Austrian with Filipino background.  David’s mother, Gina Alaba, is a Filipina.

Alaba about faith: I always go to church  with my parents. This has influenced me. I pray daily and before each match.

The Filipino community in Austria is very proud of David’s achievement.
